FILTERS USED FOR AIR & GAS TREATMENT SYSTEMS IN NUCLEAR FACILITIES
The potential danger from an accident at a nuclear power plant is radiation exposure. This exposure could come from accidentally releasing radioactive material from the plant into the environment. Therefore, Nikhtish filters are critical for saving the first responders and surrounding ecosystem from exposure to nuclear radiation in case of an accidental leakage at Nuclear power plants.
Low Efficiency Filters
Our filters are replaceable, dry-type panels. Primarily used to reduce the particulate loading to HEPA filters, these filters protect air conditioning/ air handling equipment. The MERV ratings are 1 to 8 per ASHRAE 52.2 and benchmarked as per the ASME AG-1 standard.
Medium Efficiency Filters
Our filters are replaceable, dry-type panels. Primarily used to reduce the particulate loading to HEPA filters, these filters protect air conditioning/ air handling equipment. The MERV ratings are 9 to 15 per ASHRAE 52.2 and benchmarked as per ASME AG-1 standard.
Special HEPA Filters
Our filters are radial flow or axial flow circular or axial flow rectangular dry type. These are filters used in air & gas streams, and filters that have particulate efficiency of a minimum 99.97% for 0.3micrometer diameter test aerosol particles. Our filters are benchmarked as per the ASME AG-1 standard.
Type II, III, IV Adsorbers
Our filters are used in atmospheric cleanup systems in Nuclear facilities to remove radioactive gases by adsorption. The filtration medium is carbon designed to remove radioiodine and impregnated with unique iodine compounds and amines like Triethylenediamine (TEDA). Our filters are benchmarked as per the ASME AG-1 standard.
